Japan is the most preferable country for buy automobiles. When it comes to buying used engines or new engine, Japan always comes first in everyone’s mind. There are few tips for buy Japanese engines, which are listed below:

Cheaper isn’t better - Many people look for the cheapest price while shopping around for a used engine. I know everyone looks to save money but in the end up buying a cheap engine with cheap quality. Don’t base your buying decision solely on price!!! Reputation – Do you homework on the business you want to buy from. Ask around to check out their reputation and what customer experience has been in the past. You can also call up the BBB (Better Business Bureau) to check if they had any complaints. Do searches on search engines like Google, MSN, and Yahoo. You will find lots of comment on forums and if you see they have a lot of bad comments, may be it’s not the company you should buy from. Warranty – Ask the company how their warranty is and what it covers. Ask then whether they compression tested and examine their engines before they ship the engines. A lot of shop will tell you they do…but they don’t. Ask them for engine as proof. A good warranty should be 60 days or more for performance engines and 90 days or more for replacement engines. Anything less and you should be asking yourself why they offer a shorter warranty, possible because they know engine won’t last. Pay with a Credit Card – Never ever pay with a cashiers check or money order. If you pay with a major credit card you have buy protection, so if the company tries to screw you, you can do a charge back with your credit card company. They will do an investigation and if the company is as fault they will make them fess up or you will get your money back. Call them up – Call the company you think of purchasing from. Talk to them and ask questions. Get a fee for what their customer service is like. You want to purchase from a company which is friendly on the phone and takes the time to answer your questions. If they are rude and quick to get you off the phone, think of how they will be if you have a problem you need to help you with.

The 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt is an affordable small car, which can come with a price tag of just over ,000.  Like most affordable small cars, the vehicle engine options are limited and lack a high performance option.  The 2010 automobile comes standard with a 2.2 liter, four cylinder engine which produces just over 140 horsepower.  While the Cobalt comes with a small engine, many reviews point that its acceleration is better than other comparable cars.  The carcan come with a supercharged engine which increases acceleration and horsepower.

The vehicle  comes standard with a five-speed manual transmission, but it can be upgraded to an electronic four-speed automatic transmission.  While the car does not have a high performance engine, its fuel efficiency is very economical.  The 2010 vehicle with a manual transmission gets 22 miles per gallon in the city, and 30 miles per gallon on the highway.  By upgrading to an automatic transmission, fuel efficiency increases to 24 miles per gallon in the city and 33 miles per gallon on the highway.  If the car owner opts for a turbocharged engine, fuel efficiency can fall by up to 20%.

The automobile can come in nine different trims in total.  Five of the vehicle  trims come as a two-door coupe and are the base coupe, LS coupe, 1LT coupe, 2LT coupe, and  SS Turbocharged.  The other five trims are four-door sedans and are base  sedan,  LS sedan, 1LT sedan, and  2LT sedan

The 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt uses the same engine as the automboile  has used since it was modified in 2007.  The engine was modified to allow for better fuel efficiency.

There are several freight brokers out there that will connect you to a Freight Company of which they have set up rates with.  These rates are based on the number of business they have or can legitimately project to deliver to that Freight Company and the amount of money they make on top of those rates.

However, 95% of all freight brokers are a company established just for the purpose of making money offering a connection to Freight Companies.  They do not back up their services with years of knowledge in the automotive industry themselves.  There is no blame to the brokers for establishing a company to offer this connection and without them you would have very limited options.  And if your options were limited it would cause rates to be a lot higher because the small amount of brokers that did exist could set the rates themselves.  So having the competition out there does allow for rates to be stabilized a little, however, the truth still exists that you are paying for a middle man between you and the Freight Company.

So if you are going to pay for a middle man you should make sure you can trust that company to deliver every time.  It’s the same concept when you look to hire a Real Estate Agent, a Financial Advisor or a Stock Broker because if you could honestly do what they do there wouldn’t be any need for them.

So if you want to be able to say, “I know a guy” or know of a shipping/freight broker that has over 20 years of experience in the automotive, remanufactured engines and even racing industry we would suggest you check out EngineShipping.com for your next rate quote.  EngineShipping.com simply offers the lowest rates compared to everyone else, including FreightQuote.

How EngineShipping.com is able to do this is actually quite simple, based on two main factors.

1.      Behind EngineShipping.com is a collection of companies that have been in the industry for over 20 years.  We have shipped more engines and transmissions than everyone else put together.  So we already get the lowest rates you could possibly receive from an elite selection of the top freight companies that you can count on.  Which is great because if we trust in using them over and over again, you can rest assured that you can trust in them too.  The key to these rates are the years of shipping with these companies that has allowed us to establish rates that nobody else can touch.

2.     There is no need to be greedy!  EngineShipping.com was not set up to make a whole bunch of other people rich.  It was established to make what our companies already need more automated, with one source to get it from.  Obviously in order to offer this to the public or to individuals that are buying and need shipping as well as other company owners that want to offer shipping, we are going to charge a little more than our cost.  Not too much where it puts us in the same high priced league as all the other brokers, but enough to cover the overhead to extend the lower rates onto others and give an excellent customer service.

Some of us are lucky enough to be able to incorporate our interests with our career. I count myself among that fortunate few because I not only write about cars and boats, but I consider myself an avid fan of motor sports (both the four wheels and aquatic variety).

When it comes to cars, it’s all about customization. Taking that diamond in the rough you picked up at auction, gutting it and rebuilding it from the wheels up to build a vehicle that makes a statement about you. And if your ride smokes pretty much everything else on the road, so much the better!

When it comes to replacing the stock equipment with performance versions, every system on the car is game: exhaust, brakes, seats, the paint job and even the stereo. But when you’re looking for a significant performance boost, few upgrades have the same bang as replacing the engine. I’m a fan of Chevrolet engines, especially the Chevy 383, and I’ve found the perfect place if you’re in the market for one of these hot numbers.

U.S. Engines carries a full line of remanufactured performance engines. They ship to 50 States, as well as offering the option of in house professional engine installation. The most popular offerings from major manufacturers like Ford, Chevrolet and Pontiac are stocked, all rebuilt to O.E.M. specifications. Each engine is subjected to strict quality control during rebuilding and backed by a 2 year/24,000 mile Warranty. For the ultimate in personalized performance, U.S. Engines even has the capability to custom build an engine to your specifications. If you happen to be in the Washington area you can take advantage of discounted or even free towing of your vehicle to U.S. Engines for installation.

Daniel Manson covers the automotive performance scene for a variety of publications in the Northeast US. He is currently writing a book about the influence of Chevrolet engines in racing. Previously, Daniel released the definitive account of how Mercruiser engines came to dominate the boating industry.

The 2010 Audi TT enters the 2010 model year with a major redesign that greatly improves the fun quotient for this car. Gone is the 3.2-liter six cylinder; Audi has opted for a four cylinder turbo that returns much better gas mileage while retaining the 2009 model’s performance. The base four cylinder turbo-charged engine delivers two hundred horsepower at six thousand revolutions per minute, and two hundred and seven pounds of torque at five thousand revolutions per minute.
Coupled with this power output is great fuel economy; the Environmental Protection Agency has estimated that the Audit TT with this engine option will return twenty-one miles per gallon in the city and twenty-nine miles per gallon on the highway. The engine employs a sequential fuel induction engine to feed the premium unleaded gasoline to the dual overhead cam valve train. Another feature that differentiates the TT from its competitors is the standard all wheel drive system. This system, called the “quattro” system by Audi, is held over from the last model. Audi has been perfecting the system since the early 1980′s, and the system helps the car have superior grip and road-holding capabilities. All of this power is delivered through a 6 speed “Tiptronic” transmission. This transmission was first employed by Porsche in its vehicles, and allows the driver to switch between manual or automatic modes when driving. Audi has priced all of these features into the TT package at a suggested retail price of less than thirty-nine thousand dollars. Whether the driver wants a luxury coupe or a premium performance coupe, the Audi TT delivers well on both of these counts.

The trick with this is to know how you plan to use your car, you’ll need to plan this carefully, or you won’t be impressed with what you get, this is a critical stage of the game, do you want a factory stock engine for your car, or do your want a beast, the likes of which scares everybody.

If your looking for a daily driver, you probably want something in between , or maybe you want your car to be as close to original as possible, it’s all up to you, but if you do what a high performance racing beast, you need to know a few things first.

The factory stock engine is alright, but not for those who want a little more from their, those who are hard to satisfy, those who have to have it just right, this is the way that I am with my own cars, I don’t really want all factory stock, I like some of the new technology of the modern muscle cars.

My ideal idea of a muscle car, is the one the I don’t have to race to prove that I can beat your car, the one that puts the fear of god in to people, I’m a person who like to be confident that my car is the one that will win the race, so confident that I don’t have to thrash my car

This is exactly what you need to know about your car, what do you expect from it, what is your idea of the perfect car, and what will it take to make that idea a reality, would you like it to make a certain time in the ¼ mile, or to be a reliable daily driver.

There are a lot of differences between these two types of cars, most people prefer something in between, they’d like the best of both worlds, and with today’s technology you can have the best of both worlds, that is what they are doing with the new muscle cars.

If your building an old muscle car, you have a lot of choices these days, you don’t have to go through the pain of building a engine any more, all of the American manufactures have introduced high performance crate engines.

You can get these engines in about any configuration that you want, and if the factory doesn’t have what you need, then it’s possible that Edlebrock, Jegs, or Summit racing will have just what your looking for, just tell their tech what you’d like your car to do.

If you insist on building your own engine, you’ll need to locate a machine shop that you can trust in your area, and be able to answer their questions about how you want your engine built, usually this is still a great option, but you do need to know how you plan to use your car.

It’s possible to make your car do whatever you think that it should do, but be ready to spend time on the weekend tuning, and adjusting, when you’d rather be out for a ride, if you don’t mind the tuning and adjusting, if you like to tinker, this may be just the thing for you.

I love high performance engines, but I have come to the realization that you’d better prepare your self for the little things that come along with high performance engines, I like the tuning and adjusting, so I’m not bothered by taking some time doing that.

You should weigh out carefully what you want from your car, choosing camshafts is what you need to pay attention to, a camshaft is the one piece of hardware that will make you spend the time on the weekends adjusting, when you’d rather be driving the car.
